After having come back stronger in our homes in its wooden version the weaving art is one more time the must. Furniture, seats and simple accessories: No deco object avoids the coloured craziness encouraged by the pop and regressive synthetic fibres. The original creations directly come from Brazil, and have evocative names such as Acapulco. They were made by designers thirsty for trips and exotism, and they encourage us to take a break. It happens even from our living room, like in the homes of Anne Millet and Marie Soudré-Richard, where, in this case, you don’t need to move the living room outside anymore. It guarantees the return trip to Brazil. The only thing left to do is to choose what your prefer among a myriad of suggestions. Do you prefer the DIY like Thierry Arnaudin, crafts like Annabelle Jouot or the scoubidou? Alix Thomsen has chosen this last option: On her shelves a group of them are piled up and exposed, in a very friendly way, and time did not weaken them. Weaving is not a trend that will disappear soon.
