Green Light: Go Ahead !

Sea green or emerald green? Pine green or khaki? When introducing shades of green into the decor, choices are vast and outcomes are varied. Upon the imminent arrival of Spring comes it’s anticipation of nature and bloom, we’re able to duplicate the ambiance by adding colour to our walls. With it’s diverse array of nuances, green holds an abundance of choice. In a bedroom for example, we hesitate between an elegant olive green and a delicate spring green, both similar in tone but each applies its own distinct feeling. Another way to reference the plant world is by opting for jungle print wallpapers like Delphine Crech’riou or Alexandra Aubert, the paper lends a retro charm and showcases the prominent wild trend. If repainting the walls is not enough or possibly too much, incorporating touches of green into the home with unique pieces is a way to access the colour. As Laia Aguilar’s sofa demonstrates with aplomb, green matures well. Time passes and fabric fades but its freshness subsides and continues to evoke the essence of nature. At Alice Bizien's, the leather armchairs in a tone of green / grey carry a crisp burst of colour to its muted surroundings. Refreshing without severity, green is a colour that doesn’t tire. It’s a balance of hot and cold that bears a touch of invigoration and life to the interior. Finally, it succeeds in being both wild and harmonious, as the shade in Marine Palayer’s kitchen expresses with vitality. For us it was love at first sight, as this distinctive colour disperses a halo of radiance without overwhelming or dulling the rest of the room. The trick to capturing this hypnotic tone lies within the undertone and lighting. Opting against artificial lighting prevents tarnishing once night falls and shades without yellow undertones requiring rooms with a bounty of natural light.

You could almost forget this beautiful pastel green, but it matches pefectly with our flooring.

Special mention for the total green entrance at Anna Cor's. We also love the lacquered finish that gives it brightness.
