Jogging, a name with a ring to it, and which, above all, resonates with the ingenious desire of two local children, Olivier Amsellem and Charlotte Brunet, to create a space in the heart of Marseille where design, fashion and art communicate uncompromisingly and simply. Olivier, a talented photographer, meets Charlotte, an actress from Marseille, which was elected Capital of Culture in 2013. Then, a place. The hooks, the crumbling walls of the old butcher’s shop remain: in short, taking on a spirit that perfectly suits the collections on display. A sharp selection, Jacquemus, Yazbukey, Adieu Paris, Olympia Le Tan, the publisher Moustache, Jean Baptiste Fastrez’s lighting and many others. The list is long and impressive. In addition, there is a gallery area and recurring partnerships with artists from all disciplines. To top it all off, in summer, a pop-up restaurant takes up its quarters in the small shady courtyard. On the menu, a chef in residence, fresh products – local of course – and meticulously prepared for a delicious result. Jogging thus pursues its vision, intertwining insatiable curiosity with its search for the exceptional and an ethic that places the human, creativity and benevolence at the centre of everything.
