Paris-Milano: carte blanche for design without limits! A collection designed remotely between two countries, France and Italy. Two...
This is a real first for The Socialite Family! A year of work later, here we are, presenting to you our capsule collection in collaboration with La Redoute. This collection came into fruition via the reciprocated desire to collaborate together. We were inspired to create a world for the bedroom as it’s a room that plays a central role in life at home. It’s a room in which we spend occasions of privacy, at night in our beds, reflecting, creating and analysing upon our lives. The bed is especially important to us, it’s a place to find precious moments of comfort, reunion and refuge. We designed a bed in it’s entirety, a cocoon that’s both warm and elegant in materials such as wood and caned rattan. Also we focused on linens. In a cotton satin mix that’s extremely soft with fluid draping, the feeling is captivating. With embroidery details providing a familiarity, the ladder stitch on the pieces is reminiscent of sheets our grandmothers quite possibly had. A retro feeling was referenced in the two models of lighting we designed. Placed in the corner to appreciate its shape and intensity, the floor lamp in marble, brass and frosted glass dispenses a soft yet strong light. The wall lamp positioned alone or by the bedside shines beautifully against coloured walls. Finally, we wanted an armchair to mark as a point of interest. Designed in leather and 70’s in style, the curves of the chair are in perfect harmony with the room. Ultimately comfortable, the bedroom is created for those with an affection for art and who love to take their time.
