Maison Charles is one of those great enterprises of which our country can be proud. Offering unrivalled and traditional know-how à la française, Maison Charles designs and makes original and unique lamps and light fittings in much the same way as gems are fashioned. Each piece is worked by a number of craftsmen From sculptor to bronze smith via the moulder, every detail is shaped by hand. Taken in hand by the young Michaël Wagner, the establishment was reborn from its ashes just a few years ago thanks to his prodigious work as guarantor of this niche know-how. The famous pineapple-shaped lamps seen in James Bond films sell like hot cakes in auction rooms, while acquisition of an Orgue lamp of the seventies requires great patience. In the meantime, we’ll leave you to take a pictorial behind-the-scenes peek at the workshops.
