Two weeks ago, The Socialite Family enjoyed the collection 34 by diptyque. From its heady fragrances to its astonishing coloured...
For some time, The Socialite Family creative studio has been wanting to partner with Kvadrat to cover some of its pieces of furniture. And now they have done so with the Kvadrat / Raf Simons textile collection, which celebrates the marriage of colours and materials as it dresses their signature seat, the Cavallo, for this limited edition. Among fabrics designed by the Belgian designer, they chose a strong stripe as a reference to Italy, a place inseparable from The Social Family collection, and the roots of its Founder and Artistic Director, Constance Gennari. As is self-evident, this motif evokes not only the beaches of the Lido de Venise and Forte dei Marmi in Tuscany but also the Poltrona Seggiovia chair created by the great Italian designer Franco Albini in 1940 in a fabric inspired by the seaside. Bright and graphic, the geometry of this wool blend gives the Cavallo armchair and bench a summery note you can enjoy at home. The palette – strong – offers a bright yellow, an intense orange, and a deep navy blue as well as a tone-on-tone creamy white, which is calmer. The Socialite Family can already imagine it on the Cavallo bench in black lacquered beech as well as on the Cavallo armchair, optionally available in black lacquered beech, or in ash with either a natural or a cherry finish.
