Into the Wild

Into the Wild

A return to nature is sometimes essential, to find the freshness of plant life and the wide-open spaces. And what about interior design? We sometimes let the wild world upset the calm of our urban interiors. We create little indoor forests with potted plants, and even those who are short of time will have a cactus or two as a refreshing reminder of the world outside. The ‘wild’ trend is also an invitation to a journey that doesn’t require travel, via ethnic prints and natural materials, untreated wood or warm colours. We can recreate an exotic feel and conjure up thoughts of our dream destinations. It’s a trend that you can master with little touches to suit yourself and your need to get away from it all. You can get the look by harmonising the sophisticated with the natural. For example, you can dress a lovely parquet floor in a Parisian apartment with a zebra skin rug.
