Most Beautiful Country Homes

There are as many ways to look at country houses as there are ways of living in them! Some represent a lifestyle choice, whereas others are an occasional retreat for getting together with friends and family. There are those have been designed and constructed along very precise lines, with the greatest respect for the environment. And those that have been there for many years. Decades, and sometimes more! Whatever their style, The Socialite Family wanted to bring the best ones together for you in a special feature. The most beautiful country homes that we have discovered, and featured, since the very beginning. From the 1960s cottage of florist Manuela Sosa – on the heights of Barcelona – to the Norman tranquillity of artist Marin Montagut and Alice Roca’s family, via Adeline Maillet’s modern country house, to the appeal of the Domaine de Ronsard in the Perche region or of the D’une île table d’hôte. All these holiday resorts are invitations to return to nature, at the home of the stylist Charlotte Huguet or even further afield, in Provence, at the home of the founder of Sabé Masson, Isabelle Masson Mandonnaud. Eight articles that depict that very special link between ourselves and those unique spaces where each generation brings its contribution. Places that are constantly evolving, being furnished, being decorated… in other words, being improved all the time! A participative adventure which for all concerned is synonymous with serenity and joy. A return to what really counts in life.
