Matteo is a writer, Raffaella is an architect. Together, they started a dreamlike and creative work, around pictures of rare birds. The Elusive Otter welcomes us into the world of short-billed dowitchers, seahorses and other forgotten storks. Just like in the works of ornithologists, the birds take shape in a black and white frame, with coded messages only birds can understand. The pictures are floating: it’s a way to enable them to rise from their ashes. Their work is wonderful, and displayed this week in Paris.
