This week we met up with the gentle Elodie Laleous, creator of Lab. Previously the Artistic Director for APC, Elodie decided to drop everything and try her hand at creating home textiles, all made in France. Her trademark is a mixture of materials. By mixing Danish fabric by Kvadrat with Liberty cotton, she daringly offers combinations of fabric types to produce fresh, new patterns. Her concept boutique has been open for just a few months at 10 rue Notre-Dame-de-Lorette in Paris, and is presented like a flat with the furniture laid out like at home. The tiniest details count, from bed linen to kitchen utensils, and from armchairs to shelves and post-it notes! The boutique’s strong point is that everything is for sale. Several brands are present, including the lighting brand Schneid, and furniture and rugs from Hay. For fans, this is a dream come true.
