Virées d’été : Audrey Colombani’s favourite spots in Marseille
We first met them at home — in their living rooms, their kitchens, by the pool or the vegetable garden. This summer, we’re following them outside: into the streets they wander, the places they love, the secret spots they only share with friends. A series of vibrant postcards, in video and words, from Paris to Marseille, via Goult, from Bayonne to the Loire. Impromptu strolls, savvy tips, and always their own unique way of blending style and ease. Summer, the way they live it. And the way we’d love to live it too. Because they have great taste — even in flip-flops. For the fourth episode of our sun-drenched summer saga, it’s the dynamic Audrey Colombani, head of Maisons Dominos, who shows us the joys and charms of her hometown.

This spacious spot tucked away in Marseille’s 7th arrondissement is actually two places in one: a concept store where you’ll snap up the founders’ finds (clothing, furniture and objects, kids’ section, outdoor pieces, gifts big and small), and a dining area with a short, fresh, seasonal menu. Bonus: a charming little terrace hidden in the back courtyard.

The Prophète Beach, Marseille
Our guest’s favorite beach: Plage du Prophète stretches out in a sandy strip just below the elegant residences of Marseille’s 7th arrondissement. Day and night, it’s full of joy — and a bit of cheerful commotion.
La Relève, Marseille
In this neighborhood canteen with its old-school decor, locals come for coffee at the bar, lunch, or an apéro on the terrace. Lots of regulars. A short seasonal menu, fast and friendly service!

Pavillon Southway, Marseille
Art historian and artist Emmanuelle Luciani has transformed this family home into a hybrid living and creative space: the entire house is a collaborative work of art, and its calendar of events (exhibitions, performances, artist and writer residencies) brings it to life every day. Not to be missed.

Emki Pop, Marseille
The French — or rather, Marseillais — take on ice pops: these frozen fresh fruit sticks are a staple in the U.S., but here they’re made with 75% seasonal fruit and come in creative, ever-changing flavor combos. Current favorites: black sesame, and lemon–mint–cucumber.
