Family is the most important value for Camille Omerin. The value that made her understand very young the phrase “no pain, no gain”. Among her 4 brothers and sisters, this woman from Auvergne needed to fight. In order to be different, she knew she would have to work. Launching her own company was obvious to her. Fashion was as well. Camille is not faint-hearted. To become the best, she knew she would have to learn from the best. So she went to Paris and her greatest fashion companies. She learnt from their experience. Camille now knows by heart their fabrication process and her product, Maison Père. The clothes are inspired by her origins and takes the best from the men’s wardrobe, starting with the materials, which directly come from Italy. Camille is a modern storyteller, and she models wool, cashmere and silk inspired by these stories. Hers. A precious legacy Maison Père constantly reinvents. Every collection is inspired by one member of her family, a collection with timeless cuts and small details. Maison Père’s clothes are her, her identity and legacy. A declaration of love that never fades and gives a soul to her creations. A lot of people understand her work. Her first boutique was remarkably designed by Toro & Liautard, and through January, Maison Père will have a pop-up store in Bon Marché. She also has some daring collaborations already planned. Camille keeps being successful. She is only 27 but she knows her priorities and can count on her family and professional environment. So what’s next? The fashion designer who looks like a new Margot Tenenbaum – her stylistic icon – answers this question in her apartment. Interview of an entrepreneur with good taste.
